Cosmetic Gynecology
Genital aesthetic procedures, generally known as cosmetic gynecology, are applied to eliminate deformation in the parts of the genital area, provide functional benefits and, of course, improve the appearance there. Many cosmetic gynecology procedures can be performed together with the approval of the doctor. These surgeries, such as labiaplasty, vaginoplasty and hudoplasty, also contribute to women having a healthier sexual life and solving many health problems. At the end of these procedures, where recovery times are not long, patients can return to their normal lives in a short time. Highly satisfactory results are obtained from these operations.
Vaginoplasty
Vaginoplasty can be defined as the general term for operations that involve vaginal tightening or widening. Vaginoplasty is known as the most preferred genital aesthetic procedure both in Turkey and around the world. Within the scope of vaginoplasty, the most commonly performed procedure is vaginal tightening.
Labiaplasty
Labiaplasty is the general term for all interventions performed on the inner or outer lips of the genital area. Before providing more information about labiaplasty, it is useful to accurately describe the inner and outer lips for those who need this information.
In the genital area, commonly referred to as the vaginal area, the outer lips are those located very close to the groin, covered with normal skin that has hair. These outer lips can also be called the labia majora. The inner lips, on the other hand, are smaller, thinner inner lips located just after the outer lips, close to the vaginal entrance, and not covered with normal skin but having pink vaginal tissue. Both the outer and inner lips can have some shape deformities either congenitally or due to various reasons; and labiaplasty is the type of genital aesthetic surgery that corrects these deformities in the inner or outer lips.
Pubic Aesthetic (Mons Pubis Aesthetic)
The pubic area, known as the mons pubis, is the hairy mound located just below the belly, between the groins. Various shape deformities can be seen in the pubic area due to aging or anatomical reasons. Especially excessive swelling and bulging appearance are problems that are noticeable when wearing bikinis, swimsuits, tights, etc., and can be very disturbing for women.
Pubic aesthetic is one of the most preferred types of genital aesthetics and is quite a simple procedure. Within minutes, with small surgical touches, the bulging appearance in the pubic area can be corrected, and women can achieve a smooth, tight, and aesthetically pleasing pubic area as it should be.
Outer Vaginal Lip Aesthetic (Labia Majora Aesthetic)
The outer lips, also known as the labia majora, are the large lips located near the groins in the genital area, covered with hair on the outside. In some women with excess subcutaneous fat tissue, the outer lips can be excessively large, swollen, and bulging. These issues can cause discomfort due to bulging or noticeable appearance, especially when wearing clothing such as bikinis.
In contrast, in some women, especially after rapid weight loss, the outer lips can become thin, loose, and saggy. All these problems can be resolved with a type of genital aesthetic surgery known as labia majora aesthetic. Labia majora aesthetic is essentially a subtype of labiaplasty; however, it is commonly referred to as outer lip aesthetic among the public.
Perineal Aesthetic (Correction of Scars Left from Childbirth Stitches)
The perineum, also known as the perineum proper, is the area between the vaginal entrance and the anus, characterized by smooth, soft tissue typically measuring 2-3 cm, at most 5 cm in length. Aesthetic interventions in the perineal area are among the most commonly sought-after genital aesthetic procedures.
Normally, the perineal area is quite soft, smooth, silky, and smooth unless an event like “normal childbirth” occurs; however, especially during normal childbirth, as the vagina expands and opens to allow the baby to come out easily, various tears occur in the perineal area. Typically, conscious incisions are made in this area by the doctor during childbirth to prevent these tears from being irregular, shapeless, and uncontrolled. In cases where these incisions are not made and the perineal area tears spontaneously, especially in home births; or if the incisions made are not properly stitched by the doctor, the scars from these tears and faulty stitches can remain for a lifetime.
Procedures on the Clitoris (Clitoral Hoodoplasty)
The clitoris is a part of the female genitalia that contributes to a woman’s sexual pleasure. Structurally, the clitoris is typically located at the point where the inner labia, which resemble thin leaves, meet at the top, resembling a small pea-sized organ, and just above (at the top of) where the inner labia meet, there is also a piece of tissue attached to the inner labia.
This tissue covers the clitoris and prevents it from appearing as a small, beautiful pea when viewed from the outside. Especially women who have undergone inner labia aesthetic surgery desire for this tissue, which largely covers the clitoris from above, to be removed and eliminated so that their vaginas appear like Barbie dolls, revealing the clitoris fully.
The removal of this tissue covering the clitoris and the correction of any wrinkles and folds on the skin above the clitoris, if present, is referred to as clitoral hoodoplasty.
Genital Area Whitening (Vaginal Whitening with Laser)
Darkening or discoloration in the genital area is one of the most common genital aesthetic concerns that many women face today.
Advancing age, improperly performed laser hair removal procedures, or hormonal changes can lead to patchy darkening in the outer or inner labia of the genital area. Especially prevalent around the edges and tips of the inner labia, this darkening issue, resembling decay, significantly disrupts the pinkish color and aesthetic appearance of the vagina. Laser genital whitening is a significant relief for women who are dissatisfied with these darkening areas, thereby experiencing a loss of confidence. Those who undergo laser genital whitening feel better about themselves and regain the original pink appearance of their vagina from their younger years.
Vaginal Rejuvenation with Laser (Vaginal Tightening and Renewal with Laser)
Over time, due to factors such as aging, menopause, previous pregnancies, and childbirth, vaginal tightness and its original form may be lost. Relaxation in muscles and tissues can lead to widening of the vaginal canal. This can result in a lack of pleasure during sexual intercourse for both the woman and her partner, and may even lead to a gradual avoidance of sexual activity. Additionally, it can cause significant stress and loss of confidence in women. All of these issues can be addressed through laser vaginal tightening and renewal procedures.
Laser Treatment for Urinary Incontinence
Urinary incontinence, the inability to hold or reach the toilet in time to urinate, is a common problem, especially in women, due to various reasons.
Obesity, menopause, aging, weakening of pelvic floor muscles, uterine prolapse, and various other reasons can cause urinary incontinence, which is a serious problem in terms of both hygiene and social life. In the scope of genital aesthetics, laser technology, which is also used in procedures such as vaginal tightening and rejuvenation, is used for the treatment of urinary incontinence as well. Laser treatment for urinary incontinence is considered one of the fastest, most comfortable, and effective methods among the existing treatments for urinary incontinence.
